Gimme My Hour!

Daylight Savings started yesterday and as always losing an hour sucks! I'm not tired at night because it's really 10p while the clock say 11p, but in the morning I'm tired because it's really 3a when the clock says 4a. Who came up with this conspiracy on my sleep??? I don't like it and now since we have 3 extra weeks of DST, I really don't like it :-( I'm still going to turn my lights on, the sun is not shining that brightly at 6p.

Anyhow, moving on...

This weekend the weather was ridiculously nice, so I ventured to wash my car. Let me just say that yes I could have went to the carwash, but I always find something that needs a little extra scrub, my windows are still wet when they wipe them off, or I still have soap on the car - just too many variables which really make me wonder why am I paying you to do this and it's a half a-- job!?! So here I am, scrubbing my car one side at a time and I start to realize that at the moment, if I had a compact car I could have really been done by now, but I don't and so I continued diligently washing away all of the salt from earlier in the week. I never realized how cold the water in the hose is...it's FREEZING! My fingers were soooo cold from rinsing, but it was worth it. I also bought some spray wax. I was sooo excited to use the wax, that's probably why I started washing the car in the first place, but I started spraying away. When it was time to do the "light" buffing, I sort of wished that I hadn't gotten carried away with the spray lol. I swear I buffed for at least 45 minutes. Happy to have all of that done, I'm obsessed with shiny wheels so I sprayed once, let it set and then sprayed again and then again. My wheels are sooo shiny you probably could see your reflection in it, at an angle (maybe). All in all my couple of hours of car care turned into a weekend event...if I noticed a spot I may have missed I was right back out there buffing away. I now try to avoid all of the little piles of salt that are still in the road. I'll be happy when it rains and it all goes away...they have the potential to mess up my shiny wheels and I just can't have that!

Well Happy Sleepy Monday and enjoy the next couple of days because it is supposed to get colder as the week goes on!!
