What a Weekend!!!

This weekend was rather interesting...makes me wonder why I haven't been having action packed weekends all the time....I'll admit I'm a little exhausted, but hey who needs sleep!!! Oh and I have some pictures to share...I am truly far behind with keeping up on my woes and the comings and goings of our crazy world, but October is a new month and it starts in 2 days so I promise, Promise, PROMISE to do better.

The best thing on Sunday for most Washington Redskins' fans was the rivalry win against the Dallas Cowboys. Personally I could care less for either team, but since I have seen 50 or more Redskins' jerseys today, one could assume most people are happy. The best thing on Sunday for me of course was Desperate Housewives...I'm soooo happy fall is back.

Have a great Monday!

Hmmph

I have hit a bump in the road. Speaking with a friend (MH) this morning made me realize that I have an issue with not being right. Of course who doesn't like not being right, but I think I have it to the extreme. I never want to be wrong. In fact I believe I am never wrong and apparently, my movement through life with this mentality has crippled me to the point that now when being told that I have the possibility of being wrong, it gives me great anxiety. I have that anxiety right now as a matter of fact and there isn't enough deep breathing in the world to turn it around at this moment.

Along with not being right all the time I am also thinking about other things that I could "work" on. I talked to another friend (LR) this morning it was determined that maybe I take things a little too personal...well I mean if it's a personal criticism and since I have this "I have to be right thing" going on as well, I suppose I could see how all of this interacts.

And to top it all of I have another friend (E) who thinks that at times my trying t0 change is coming off as insincere....

I'm starting to feel as though I am entering a quarter life crisis...of course LR would call this my dramatics coming out again, but clearly I cannot enter 26 with all of these jaded views and actions. While I make no promises to change my personality to please anyone, I will make a conscious effort to make the appropriate changes at the appropriate times. That means my timeline for change may run a little slow for someones taste, but slow and steady wins the race.

So thanks M, L and E for the acknowledgements and for dealing with my less than receptive moments!

First Day of Autumn

Leaves changing colors, falling...coolness in the air...sweaters and scarves...I've waited all year for this to happen and I'm excited that it's finally here. Truly the most beautiful season, Enjoy!

I am so happy the weather is starting to change, although I am a little chilled in the morning I love it sooo much more than the humidity and the high temperatures. I really think I need to relocate to a more "me weather" location. I love it here in the DC area, but summer is really not a selling point.

I have a present coming today!! I am super excited as it is not often that I treat myself with something that I really really really love, but today is a new day! I'm not going to tell you what it is (some of you know already,) but you will see results from it soon!

In my Money magazine for September I read something well worth sharing. I am a little biased actually and I think everyone could benefit from Money magazine, but I'll just share this one item. As part of a settlement for selling customer profiles, TransUnion is offering credit reports and scores for six months. You can look at it as often as you like, but you have to sign up by September 24th.

Previously, I had been thinking about not saying anything regarding Gov. Palin, but I have changed my mind and I am going to make comments. I have to be honest though, I haven't really taken an interest to learn much about her so after some researching I'll give my opinion. I am going to attempt to be unbiased, but I make no promises.

Have a Great Hump Day!

09.04.08

So the first week in September...school starts...squirt is leaving for college...the weather is crazy hot and humid...and I'm exhausted! It's only Thursday morning and I feel like crawling back into the bed for a couple more hours. I def. feel the need for some caffeine to make it through today.

Also, I have been a little delinquent in my writings for a little while now. I plan on doing my monthly refresh at some point this weekend, maybe tomorrow. Now begins the juggling act...work, schoolwork, gym, sleep, friends, family, sleep some more and of course blogging :-)

May the "FUN" begin!
